Health & Temperament Study Information Below you
will find a health & temperament survey. This
survey is being conducted to help determine the problems we may have existing in this
breed as well as problems that may confront us in the future. The
purpose of this survey is not to identify or publicize any kennel or dog as being
"unhealthy" or "unstable". No
names of kennels or information is asked on the survey, people can chose to remain
anonymous if they feel more comfortable that way. We have
two veterinarians volunteering to evaluate the data gathered in this survey. They are affiliated with Michigan State University
and Ohio State University. They will need a
minimum of 40 responses in order to evaluate the data provided in the survey. The
evaluation of the data will only be as accurate as the information provided by those
filling out the survey. Any
information you provide will be helpful, so please take the time to fill out this survey. Please fill out a separate form for each Cane
Corso you own or have owned in the past. When
filling out the survey, please do not answer questions regarding health issues that your
veterinarian has not tested for or your dog has not been diagnosed as having. If your dog is not showing signs of any health
problems, it does not mean it does not have a problem, just that you are not aware of it. This is why we ask that unless you have
specifically tested for the health issues asked or unless your dog has been diagnosed as
having the problem, please just leave the question blank. This
survey will help us protect the future of the breed by providing us with valuable
information on how to deal with existing problems and possible future issues within the
Cane Corso. We are not concerned with club
affiliation or registry information, so all are welcome to participate in this survey. If you know of anyone who owns a Cane Corso,
please feel free to print this survey and give it to them to fill out. Please
note: I have personally (not as an organization) received written copyright
permission from the original AKC breed club that authored this survey. They have graciously allowed me to modify &
utilize their survey for the Cane Corso. Anyone
wanting to copy, modify or distribute this survey on their website or in print, must get
express permission, in writing, from both myself as well as the original AKC breed club. Putting a logo on a copyrighted document does not
define ownership. Ownership is defined
through copyright and written permission must always be obtained from the original
author. Copyright infringement is subject to
serious legal ramifications. Please
return all completed surveys to: Lisa
Mandalios Capluvr@aol.com Thank you in advance for your participation.
